JNBridge at TechEd in Orlando

Microsoft TechEd is coming, and JNBridge will be exhibiting there.

We’ll be at both TechEd Developers (June 3-6) and TechEd IT Professionals (June 10-13), demonstrating some of our latest products.  Come visit us at booth 1545 in the exhibit hall!

In other exciting, related news, JNBridge is honored to be recognized as a finalist for a Best of TechEd 2008 Developer award.  The awards will be announced on Thursday, June 5, at the TechEd attendee party.

We just came back from JavaOne in San Francisco a couple of weeks ago, where we exhibited for the first time.  There was a lot of interest in JNBridgePro.  Many people are still unaware that interoprability between Java and .NET is possible, so there’s plenty of opportunity for us to spread the word at shows like JavaOne and TechEd.

There was plenty of talk about our upcoming JNBridgePro 4.0.  See some of the recent coverage here.

Birds-of-a-Feather session at TechEd

At Microsoft’s TechEd next month in Los Angeles, Wayne Citrin will be conducting a BOF session titled “The UI buffet: Mixing and matching .NET and Java UI technologies.”  We hope to get together people who need to mix UI technologies in the course of their work, or who are otherwise interested in this sort of interoperability.  We’ll love to hear about different scenarios that people have encountered and how they’ve addressed these interop problems.  If you’d like to mix WPF, WinForms, Silverlight, or ASP.NET Web parts (on the .NET side), with AWT, SWT, Swing, JavaFX, JSPs, or Java Portlets (on the Java side), this is the place to talk about it!

The BOF session will happen on Tuesday, May 12, at 8:30AM-9:45AM PDT.  The room will be published in the program or on the conference Web site as the conference gets closer.

We hope to see you there!

TechEd birds-of-a-feather session followup

Thanks to everyone who attended our birds-of-a-feather session on UI interface technology interop at TechEd last week in Los Angeles.  As promised, I’d like to follow up with resources that people have requested.  If you have a question you’d like answered, or are looking for information on a UI interop-related topic, drop me a note in the comments below, and I’ll post the information that I find.

JNBridge at TechEd 2007 in Orlando next week

JNBridge will be in Orlando at TechEd next week.  We’ll be giving two talks on creating adapters connecting .NET and Java using JNBridgePro:

  • Unifying Integration: Using Microsoft Windows Communication Foundation to Build Adapters to Line-of-Business Applications (SOA218 — Wednesday, June 6, 8:30AM – 9:45AM, Room N210 B).  I’ll be presenting with Sonu Arora of Microsoft and Jesus Rodriguez of TwoConnect.  I’ll be demonstrating a new WCF-based adapter that can be used to connect BizTalk Server 2006 R2 to JMS servers.
  • Connecting .NET to Java Messaging Service Using Windows Communication Foundation (SOA07-TLC — Wednesday, June 6, 2PM – 3:15PM, Blue Theater 10).  In this chalk talk, Bill Heinzman and I will do a deep dive into the aforementioned adapter, discussing how it’s architected and implemented, and how it can be configured and used with BizTalk Server.  We’ll also be discussing some other adapter technology we’re working on.

If you’re going to be at TechEd, I hope to see you at these talks.  If you’d like to meet with us face-to-face, drop us a line — we’d love to meet you there!
