JNBridge to Release New Versions of its Java and .NET Interoperability Products
JNBridgePro 5.0 Breaks New Ground by Enabling Cross-Platform Transactions JNBridge JMS Adapters for .NET and BizTalk Server Increase Architectural Flexibility
Boulder, Colorado, November 9, 2009
JNBridge, www.jnbridge.com, the award-winning provider of interoperability tools between Java and .NET frameworks, announced today it will be releasing new versions of all its Java/.NET interoperability products. JNBridgePro 5.0 and the 2.0 versions of JNBridge’s JMS Adapters provide users with unique capabilities related to cross-platform transactions and messaging-based infrastructures.
JNBridgePro 5.0 adds support for cross-platform transactions between Java and .NET in both the Java-to-.NET and .NET-to-Java directions. Existing solutions that support distributed transactions do not guarantee that Java and .NET transactions are interoperable; JNBridgePro now does. JNBridgePro 5.0 provides for seamless and transparent transactions between platforms, that work with all vendors’ Java EE implementations, and will simply and transparently manage the two-phase commit protocol that guarantees the integrity of the transaction.
“Surveys show that the majority of enterprises develop in both Java and .NET, which allows developers and architects to select the best platform for any given application,” said Al Hilwa, senior analyst at IDC. “Financial and e-commerce applications that rely on transactions haven’t been allowed the same freedom of choice, because the integrity of the data could not be guaranteed. Cross-platform transaction processing capability is an often requested functionality for shops tasked with integrating Java and .NET applications.”
A transaction is an independent unit of information that must be completed in its entirety, such as a banking transaction. If all the operations of a transaction are successful, the transaction can be committed. If any individual operation fails, all the operations of the transaction must be rolled back.
“Transactions are the glue that make electronic commerce work,” explained Wayne Citrin, CTO of JNBridge. “Cross-platform transactions have never really been done successfully before. We’ve opened up new territory for what’s possible, and greatly extended the reach of Java and .NET interoperability.”
JNBridge also will be releasing new 2.0 versions of its JMS Adapters for .NET and its JMS Adapter for BizTalk Server. The BizTalk Server Adapter will add support for request/response and solicit/response messaging patterns that are commonly used in messaging-based infrastructures. Both adapters will support a more flexible architecture by enabling the Java and .NET portions of the JMS client to run in separate processes or on different machines, as well as in the same process on the same machine.
JNBridgePro connects Java and .NET Framework-based components and applications together with simple-to-use Microsoft Visual Studio and Eclipse plug-ins that remove the complexities of cross-platform interoperability. JNBridgePro provides fast access to anything Java-based from anything .NET Framework-based and anything .NET Framework-based from anything Java-based, including Java Standard Edition (SE), Java Enterprise Edition (EE), Enterprise Java Beans (EJBs), AWT, SWT, Swing, Microsoft .NET APIs, Microsoft ASP.NET, Windows Forms (WinForms), Microsoft Office SharePoint Server, and Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF). Developers can explore Java or .NET Framework-based classes to quickly select which classes to integrate, and then JNBridgePro builds proxies that are callable from the other side.
About JNBridge’s Adapters
The JNBridge JMS Adapter for .NET integrates any vendor’s JMS implementation directly with a .NET Framework-based application. Customers can quickly and easily create custom .NET applications that send messages to, and receive messages from, an existing JMS infrastructure. The JNBridge JMS Adapter for BizTalk Server connects any vendor’s JMS implementation directly with BizTalk Server. Both adapters use a simple interface that hides the complexities of building a JMS client, and require no changes to existing JMS enterprise servers.
The new versions of JNBridgePro and the JNBridge JMS Adapters for .NET and for BizTalk Server will be available for download from JNBridge’s Web site, www.jnbridge.com/downloads.htm, beginning on November 16. JNBridge will be demonstrating the new features at Microsoft’s Professional Developer Conference (PDC) in Los Angeles, November 17-19, in booth 911.
