Java - .NET Interoperability Solution Includes New .NET Framework 2.0 and J2SE 5.0 Features
Boulder, Colorado, US—November 17, 2005—JNBridge, LLC, the Java-.NET interoperability company, today announced the release of JNBridgePro 3.0, the first Java and .NET interop tool to take advantage of the new features in Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 and J2SE 5.0.
JNBridgePro enables software developers to join anything Java together with anything .NET across the platform boundary, whether the Java and .NET components are running in the same process or over a network. JNBridgePro 3.0 introduces:
- Access to .NET generics from Java and access to Java generics from .NET
- Secure communications between Java and .NET through SSL (Secure Socket Library)
- Mapping of Java enums to .NET enums
Additionally, JNBridgePro 3.0 continues to support .NET Framework 1.0 and 1.1, and earlier versions of Java.
“Generics and enums, which are new in .NET 2.0 and J2SE 5.0, are crucial language extensions that increase type safety and reduce programming errors,” said Wayne Citrin, CTO of JNBridge. “Prior to .NET 2.0, the SSL APIs weren’t available for creating secure connected systems. JNBridgePro 3.0 enables developers to take full advantage of these important new language features and connect them across the Java/.NET boundary in a safe, easy-to-use, way.”
